There are many of us deciding to get back up today.
As you take the first step – to try again, to take on an illness, to fight through depression, know that God is there with a supportive hand.
While it isn’t always easy to seek God through the pain, there is power in letting go and letting Him assist us through the process of building ourselves back up.
These three verses are a good place to start as they give us a pathway to understanding what God provides when we truly seek Him. He establishes our steps, holds us up when life gets tough, and enables us to overcome the barriers that stand before us.
Seek The Lord’s Strength Instead Of Your Own
There is a lot of frustration and fear that can surround us when we have something that feels too big to overcome, but don’t let fear win by deciding to do it all on your own.
There are moments we can’t depend on our own strength, no matter how strong we are.
To find the Lord’s strength is to humble one’s self before the Lord.
I opened my eyes to this truth after realizing just how much I put my health into my own hands, thinking I have to face every challenge alone.
The Lord made me strong enough to deal with the physical pain and hardship of HSP, I tell myself. I do not want to be a burden to God or my family by asking for help.
That mentality has become harmful, not only to my health, but also to my relationship with the Lord. I am shutting Him out.
Instead, I have to humble myself and ask the Lord for His support. I have to know He is there with me and acknowledge that by connecting to Him more, even on my toughest days.
So, on this day, I make a commitment to turn to the Lord to learn a new way, through His wisdom and strength.
Dedicated To Jesus Devotional:
Seek The Lord’s Strength
The following 3-day devotional focuses on studying one verse a day to allow the Lord into the areas of our lives that we are doing alone. Let His words lead the way. Please feel free to join me, using these guides.
Day One
Pray to the Lord and ask Him for guidance.
What area of my life am I doing alone?
How can I include you more, Lord?
Day Two
Pray to the Lord and ask Him for guidance.
Where in my life am I hoping to succeed but feel overwhelmed?
How has the Lord already established stability in this part of my life?
Day Three
Pray to the Lord and ask Him for guidance.
What barrier is holding me back?
How can I face this barrier differently with God?
Thank you for sharing this. I love the three day devotional and will be starting tomorrow. Each verse is very helpful for me to begin where Zi am nit moving forward alone.
Let me know how the devotional goes 🙂
I just finished and can see how important it is to check in with God and include Him in every area of our lives.
