As we all take on a new day, I pray that we can grab hold of the assurance the Lord provides: He is with us wherever we go. Even if you can’t see what the Lord is doing, He is there. Even if you can’t feel His presence in your day-to-day life, He is there, making a way.
“God always shows up in your day, no matter where you are. Sometimes it’s easy to see, sometimes it’s not, but He always shows up.”
When my son spoke these words late one night, it was immediately eye-opening.
I know the Lord is with me, but is my heart open to see all that He is doing? Do I acknowledge Him and give thanks?
Little did my son realize that this statement would bring about such reflection.
“He always shows up.” This is definitely true.
Six months ago, I was wandering through the days, doubting myself and what I was capable of.
Now, I can see that each day the Lord was actually removing those doubts by challenging me to take one step forward, just one, each day.
He showed up when He steered me away from wasting time. He reminded me often to keep my mind busy.
He showed up when He surrounded me with the right people who would not only encourage me, but also ask me the tough questions I needed to consider.
He showed up for me this morning, allowing my body to function and take on another day in my wheelchair.
Keep Depending On Your Faith
“He always shows up.” There is no doubt.
The Lord is by your side. Don’t let go of this truth.
On the days you can’t feel Him, depend on your faith in Him, because that is what will keep you moving forward.
“Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
That hope is Jesus and He enables us to overcome the challenges we wouldn’t be able to overcome in our own strength.
In time, you’ll be able to look back and see clearly just how much God was making a way each and every day. So keep moving forward, and always take a moment to reflect on what God has done in your life and what He is doing right now.
Here is a simple prayer you can use at any point of the day to give thanks and praise to the Lord for the many ways He is showing up in your life.
This is exactly what I needed to hear. Danny’s words are so true and powerful. I love your blog and I know it is helping me and directing me in the right direction. Thank you Danette.
